A last minute addition for HorrorHound Weekend March - Ellen Sandweiss (pictured right, aka Cheryl; one of the "Ladies of" The Evil Dead) will be joining Brian O'Halloran (Clerks) to promote the upcoming Anchor Bay feature film - Brutal Massacre: A Comedy!
CLOVERFIELD's Jessica Lucas (pictured) has joined the ensemble as the roommate of Stephanie (Alison Lohman), a bank worker who arouses the ire of an Eastern European woman named Mrs. Ganush, who in turn puts a supernatural curse on her. Lorna Raver will portray Mrs. Ganush, while David Paymer has signed on to play Stephanie's boss.
Practically everything in this story has been done before – and done better at that.
“It’s a bit early to talk casting, but we REALLY want George Clooney to be in it and we have a role in mind for Bruce Campbell as well!”
Tom Sullivan will be playing a deadly mobster in Ryan Meade's Motor City Massacre this Summer. Pat Reese has a part playing a lethal hitman with a twist. Filming starts this spring.
Later this Summer Tom will portray H.P. Lovecraft in Unfilmable Film's The Thing In The Moonlight. It is a period horror film set in the 1920s.
The woman who played his sister in Evil Dead now plays his bitter ex-wife (still named Cheryl)
I found out I was actually sitting behind Tom Sullivan, special effects guy from the Evil Dead series, when he got up to (jokingly) ask Bruce if there was a chance of an Evil Dead 4. Bonus.
Netlet has given an eight-episode order to "13," a nonscripted horror-themed skein from Raimi and reality vet Jay Bienstock. Duo will exec produce, along with Raimi's Ghost House Prods. partner Robert Tapert.
When Bruce Campbell hand delivers his new film, "They Call Me Bruce," to the East Lansing Film Festival on Thursday, it will be a homecoming of sorts for the Royal Oak-born actor and cult figure.
Bruce Campbell will introduce “My Name is Bruce,” his action comedy. “It has lots of wink-winks for (genre) fans,” he said.
Campbell directed the film, near his Oregon home. There will be a lot of that, he said, as equipment becomes lower in cost and higher in quality. “Movies can be made in Butt Crack, Kansas.”
Ghost House Pictures chief Rob (EVIL DEAD) Tapert has joined the lineup of FANGORIA’s gargantuan West Coast Weekend of Horrors, to be held April 25-27 at the Los Angeles Convention Center (1201 South Figueroa).
Variety reports that Alison Lohman has stepped into the leading role of Sam Raimi's DRAG ME TO HELL that was vacated by Ellen Page late last week due to scheduling problems.
