Pint Of Milk: Bruce Campbell

On a scale of one to ten, how famous are you?

Bruce: I'd say about a two, compared to a President. I'm just saying in the scheme of things, you got Gandhi and me. There's gotta be something in between.

Which film have you seen more than any other?

I would say stuff I've worked on, like The Evil Dead. I've seen that more than any other movie, working on the sound, working on the editing, looking at the dailies, going to screenings. I've hosted dozens and dozens of screenings of that movie. I know every frame, for sure.

Splatterhouse Horror Movie References: Evil Dead 2

If there’s one iconic hero from horror movies, it’s Ashley Williams- or Ash as he is better known- from the Evil Dead series. In Chapter 4, The Meat Factory, you will enter a room of cells and will find a corpse lying on the ground in the center of it. The corpse is wearing a blue denim shirt, beige khakis- oh and only has one hand. He is also lying next to a Boomsti…I mean a shotgun. If there’s two things Ash is well known for, it’s his shotgun and the loss of his hand in the second movie which he then attached a chainsaw to. Seems fitting that Mr. Biggy, the chainsaw wielding monster from the classic Splatterhouse game is in the next room.

What is the Necronomicon and is it Real?

J. Darling writes:
People who have watched the horror/comedy/action movies of Sam Raimi's "Evil Dead" franchise are familiar with the "Necronomicon Ex Mortis", or "The Book of the Dead." In these movies if someone reads from the supernatural "Necronomicon" or even plays an audio version of the book's contents, demons can be released causing chaos, murder, gore, mayhem, and as you see in "Evil Dead II" slapstick comedy. The "Necronomicon" wasn't new to the "Evil Dead" movies, as any die-hard horror fan knows; the "Necronomicon Ex Mortis" was based on a book referenced numerous times in the work of pulp horror writer H.P. Lovecraft (Lovecraft never used the term "Necronomicon Ex Mortis"). But what is the "Necronomicon" and does it truly exist?

Bubba Ho-Tep: Cult Horror, Black Comedy, Western and an Anachronistic Masterpiece/Hero Worship and Used People

Yog Sothoth writes:
Coscarelli is such a masterful storyteller. He’s a modern brother’s Grimm, who evokes a creep factor that is superbly surreal. He creates snap shots, images that stay with you. And with Bubba Ho-Tep there is no exception.

He’s crafted an Anachronism on purpose, not like Charlton Heston’s character Ben-Hur wearing a wrist watch during the epic chariot race in that film.

Bringing Coscarelli together with the bigger than life Bruce Campbell was a stroke of genius, the perfect actor to portray an elderly Elvis hiding out at an East Texas Nursing home.
