Sundays are about to become even busier for TV viewers, as Chris Albrecht, CEO of Starz, is moving the network's entire original programming slate from Saturday to Sunday nights.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the likes of Outlander, Black Sails, Ash vs Evil Dead and the remainder of Starz' original series will be moving.
"Saturdays have worked so well that we feel our shows are going to be able to stand up on the most watched night of the week," said Albrecht.
The switch means they'll be going to a particularly busy and talked about night of TV, airing against the likes of Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead, but THR says Albrecht believes the risk "is worth being part of the Sunday night conversation."
The move will begin on July 17 with the Season 3 premiere of 50 Cent's Power, followed by Survivor's Remorse a week later.
Saturdays on Starz will now be used for movie premieres.
“It’s been really satisfying,” says Campbell about the critical acclaim. “Normally with ‘Evil Dead,’ fifty percent of the reviews were bad. They would say that Sam Raimi took every bad idea he had and put it into a low budget blender. Those were the reviews we would normally get. And they’d make fun of the cheesy lighting, the bad acting the cheap special effects.” Now he says, “we have two excellent directors of photography, we have award-winning effects guys, and the acting is hopefully better. We’re more experienced as filmmakers.”
He welcomes the opportunity to both thrill diehard fans and bring in new ones unfamiliar with the original material. “I did Ash once in the seventies, I did Ash once in the eighties, I did Ash once in the nineties and I missed a decade, so now we’re making up for it,” the actor explains. “It’s a great chance to really flesh out the character.” Campbell concedes there was a risk in bringing the material to TV. “We knew people were clamoring for more ‘Evil Dead,’ but we weren’t sure they’d accept it in this format, and thankfully they have.”
During our free-wheeling chat, Campbell also teases the second season. “We’re going to meet Ash’s dad, the great Lee Majors, and there are other spoilers that I probably shouldn’t tell you, but there are going to be some familiar characters that are going to be returning, so there’s a lot of Easter eggs.”

Mike Pasquale hails from West Virginia USA and joins host Ian Lawton in the Workshed to talk about... well... The Workshed. I mean THE Workshed.
Mike has taken on the noble task of rescuing the original Workshed from the filming location of the classic 1987 comedy horror from Sam Raimi; Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn.
Mike shares the story in how he tracked down the location and set about salvaging as much as he could and in turn restoring the famed Workshed.
A workshed about the workshed.

So with a serious amount of Deadites slaughtered in Season 1 and a missing Necronomicon I think it's safe to say Ash will have his hand full this fall. So what's in store for our anti hero this season?
The original THE EVIL DEAD plays midnights this weekend (May 20th and 21st) at the Tivoli (6350 Delmar Blvd, St. Louis, MO) as part of their Reel Late at the Tivoli Midnight series.
In the upcoming horror film "Don't Breathe," three teens Rocky (Jane Levy), Money (Daniel Zovatto), and Alex (Dylan Minnette) successfully rob affluent homes for cash and belongings. When they find out there's a blind war veteran (Stephen Lang) who keeps a large legal settlement locked in house, they decide to case the joint for a big score. But they soon discover that he's actually a strong, gun-wielding killer who knows his own house like the back of his hand. Now the three teens are the mercy of a man who uses his visual handicap as a weapon. Watch the trailer above.

On October 25th at the Ace Theater in LA, the horror world’s most charming chin-with-a-man-attached Bruce Campbell will be hosting a screening of Evil Dead, Sam Raimi’s 1981 classic horror film that introduced the world to Ash Williams. However, this isn’t just your normal everyday screening. Oh no, my lovely readers! What sets this one apart is that composer Joseph LoDuca will also be in attendance to introduce the Up chamber orchestra, who will be performing the score to the film live!

WADESBORO — The iconic work shed from the classic horror movie “Evil Dead II” has been saved, thanks to a West Virginia fan.
Mike Pasquale made the trip to Wadesboro last month from his home in Weirton, West Virginia — just outside of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania — to save the shed.
Pasquale documented the adventure he called “Operation: Evil Dead Uproot” on his website, EvilDeadWorkshed.com.
The cabin from the movie had completely collapsed, and the shed was also in bad condition, Pasquale said.
