'Ash vs Evil Dead' First Look: Ash Is a Hometown Hero

When Ash vs Evil Dead rises for Season 3 on February 25, 2018, the slayer of the undead will have traded his gory ways for some glory days.

Now a hometown hero, "Ash—like any shallow person—is determined to cash in on his fame," says star Bruce Campbell, noting that his super-chinned alter ego "is revving up the crowd at the grand opening of Ashy Slashy’s Hardware (and Sex Toy) Emporium."

Also keeping him abuzz? He’ll reunite with his long-lost daughter, Brandy (Arielle Carver-O’Neill)—and pity the fool who comes between a chainsaw-wielding papa and his princess!

'Evil Dead' artist to speak at Ivy Tech

MICHIGAN CITY — The Comic Book and Pop Culture Club (ComPop) of the Ivy Tech Michigan City campus will be hosting special effects artist Tom Sullivan as a guest speaker Nov. 30.

Last time Tom joined the group on campus, he had a “groovy” good time, so organizers are happy to have him back.

Sullivan is the make-up, special effects, and stop motion animation artist for the original "Evil Dead" movie. He created the Necronomicon, or the "Book of the Dead," used in the movie. As many know, reading from the book is what unleashed the terrors of the deadites that Ash (Bruce Campbell) and his friends had to battle and survive in the film. Sullivan has also worked on "Evil Dead II," "The Fly II,: and did the artwork for an H.P. Lovecraft role playing game.

Five Things You Didn’t Know About Ray Santiago

Ray Santiago is an American actor of Puerto Rican descent who was born in South Bronx, New York, on June 15, 1984. His first acting job was in the film ‘Girlfight’ in 2000. However, he is more famous for playing the role of Jorge Villalobos in the 2004 comedy ‘Meet the Fockers’. He got this role after auditioning for Robert De Niro. Strangely, his acting coach had once said to him that he could play Ben Stiller’s half-Latino son in a movie. He was referring to Santiago’s prominent eyebrows that are similar to Stiller’s. As he is of Puerto Rican descent, he could have found himself in stereotypically racist roles, but he has defied this and gone on to establish a successful career as an actor in both film and television. Since 2016, he has been filming a television series called ‘Shiny Baby Goat’ in which he plays Rodd Scott.

Rob Kemp - The Elvis Dead interview - British Comedy Guide

Every year at the Edinburgh Fringe - the August institution where many of the best leftfield live projects are launched onto an unsuspecting public - there's at least one show that gets the whole festival talking, the 'Have you seen...?' phenomenon. This year, that show was The Elvis Dead.

On paper, Rob Kemp's one-man mash-up musical may not sound like a sure-fire bums-on-seats affair. His long-festering idea was to retell the decidedly niche horror movie Evil Dead 2 via the medium of Elvis Presley tunes, and the resulting show proved a lot less niche than he probably expected.

EVIL DEAD 2: A Live-Action Looney Tunes Horror Comedy

To keep in the spirit of celebrating anniversaries in film and television, this year marks the 30th, yes 30th, anniversary of Evil Dead 2. The film continues to entertain viewers since its debut in 1987, thanks to the success of the original 1981 film. A third film, Army of Darkness, came in 1992 to complete the Evil Dead trilogy. The year 2013 saw the release of a remake to the original film, and there is currently a television series and a stage musical based on these films. What is the appeal of this series? In the case of Evil Dead 2 – its cartoonish nature.
